Lamplighters

The Lord has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither has He hid His face from him, but when he cried unto Him, He heard.

The thief cometh not, but for to steal,
and to kill, and to destroy: I am come
that they might have life, and that they
might have it more abundantly.
John 10:10

Jesus said, “I am the light of the world.  Those who follow Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

For with the standard of measurement you use [when you do good to others], it will be measured to you in return.

As sin reigned in death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

I know not why God’s wondrous grace
to me He hath made known,
nor why, unworthy, Christ in love
redeemed me for His own.

I know not how this saving faith
to me He did impart,
nor how believing in His Word
wrought peace within my heart.

I know not how the Spirit moves,
convincing us of sin,
revealing Jesus through the Word,
creating faith in Him.

I know not when my Lord may come,
at night or noon day fair,
nor if I’ll walk the vale with Him,
or meet Him in the air.

Refrain:
But I know whom I have believed,
and am persuaded that He is able
to keep that which I’ve committed
unto Him against that day.

To be spiritually minded is life and peace.

The disciples went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs.  Amen.
