“He shall cry unto me, ‘Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.’  Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.”

The birth of Jesus Christ: When his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit.

When the right time came, the time God decided on, he sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law so that he could adopt us as his very own sons.  And because we are his sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, so now we can rightly speak of God as our dear Father.  Now we are no longer slaves but God’s own sons.  And since we are his sons, everything he has belongs to us, for that is the way God planned.

This is that Moses who said to the children of Israel, “The LORD your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brethren.”

When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.

Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:  receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;  and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him.

“Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” 

O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock;  thou that dwellest between the cherubims, shine forth. Turn us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine;  and we shall be saved.   

When all the people were baptized, it came to pass that Jesus also was baptized; and while He prayed, the heaven was opened.
