You should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

Ye should turn from vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein.

For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;  looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.

The good news of Jesus Christ—the Message!—begins here, following to the letter the scroll of the prophet Isaiah.

“Go into all the world, and preach the gospel.”

Behold, You desire truth in the inner being;  make me therefore to know wisdom in my inmost heart.

Offer unto God thanksgiving;  and pay thy vows unto the most High:  and call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

Arise for our help, and redeem us for thy mercies’ sake.
